Sri Lanka Bombing
22 April 2019
We are shocked by the bombing of a coordinated attack on churches and hotels on Easter Sunday by Islamist group in Sri Lanka, in what officials have called a "brand-new type of terrorism.”, where at least 290 innocent people died and approximately 500 injured, reportedly.
This is the worst violence the South Asian Island has seen since its bloody civil war ended 10 years ago.
National Union for Democracy in Iran strongly condemns this act of violence, which resulted in killing numerous innocent civilians.
We offer our heart felt condolences to all those who lost loved ones in the bombing of Sri Lanka attacks. The international community must also condemn this despicable act of violence and conduct a full and thorough investigation.
